Counting up into old soldiers

Have you tried counting numbers in your head visually? I can't do it. Even when I try to run up the numbers as they would go up on a clock or a counter, I almost immediately start thinking out the numbers as well. So, it seems that counting and numbers are intrinsically linguistic activities, at least for me.

I'm wondering, will the soldiers of the future be old people, like me in some 30 years? With the society's age distribution leaning ever more into old ages, war-monging countries like the US might have to turn to them when recruiting. Wouldn't it be a good deal actually, all that experience and knowledge, plus a more retired attitude toward dying, in a future where physical power is not needed much for machine-aided warfare?

Yeah, it's that Streti.

Hello. So, I was bored and decided to make a Livejournal account. I thought of it some time ago and it's been bugging me ever since. Unfortunately, it's been so long that I've already forgotten what I was thinking of writing about.

So, perhaps you've read stories like "Suikoden III - On a Sunny Day", "Dragon Quest VIII - Sailors' Dream" and "Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Malon Lon Milk". This journal is for interested people to know what's going on with my writing and perhaps for other ruminations as well.

Currently, I'm proofreading the last chapter of "On a Sunny Day" for release in the Grey Archive after a long delay, and have just finished the latest chapter of my Suikoden V futanari story "Secrets under the Sun". Kinda stuck on Suikoden, but there are a lot of ideas about the games I want to make into stories. Yet time is scarce and I'm not the quickest of writers, sometimes the motivation is also lacking. For these reasons, even "Secrets under the Sun" is progressing slowly, and that's not to mention its two sequel stories, a completely different Suikoden V story, a Suikoden I story and a Suikoden IV story. Kinda fixated with the series don't you think? Although I do have some other ideas like a Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow one, too.
